* Please Note:
An accounting officer letter/review is a level of service that results in an expression of limited assurance. It provides limited assurance in a report by stating that s/he is not aware of any material modifications that should be made to the financial statements in order for them to be in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Sufficient inquires and procedures are performed to give a reasonable basis for that conclusion. These inquiries and procedures are the major difference between a review and the next level of service which is a compilation.
A compilation involves an accounting service, in which an accountant prepares, or assists in preparing, financial statements without expressing any assurances that the statements are accurate and complete or are in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Few, if any, procedures are performed, and it is substantially less than a review services report.
To help your operation prepare for external financial or regulatory audits, we will work with your internal management team to identify issues and develop and implement appropriate corrective actions prior to your external /internal audit reviews. We will prepare and perform necessary testing as well as provide supporting documentation and work papers.
